10 Good habits to Adopt in the fight against wrinkles

When it comes to wrinkles, prevention is better than cure. As age is not the only factor influencing the appearance of wrinkles, it's useful to know the right gestures to keep skin looking young.

Many external factors accelerate skin aging, such as sun exposure, pollution, external factors (cold, wind, heat), lifestyle or unsuitable cosmetic care. Here are 10 habits you can adopt to keep your skin looking younger for longer.

Adopting a healthy lifestyle

Stress, an unbalanced diet, alcohol and smoking are all factors that accelerate skin aging. Try to adopt as healthy a lifestyle as possible, get plenty of exercise, eat a rich diet and avoid smoking. Your skin will be all the more beautiful for it!

Eat a varied, anti-aging diet

A varied anti-aging diet
A varied diet of fruits, vegetables and foods rich in omega-3s and antioxidants is the key to keeping skin looking young and fresh.

The omega-3s found in salmon, tuna, olive oil and walnut oil are a good source of the healthy fats needed for skin hydration.

Antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables (raspberries, green tea, tomatoes, etc.) help the skin to eliminate toxins and create beautiful, radiant skin.

For an ideal intake of omega-3 and omega-6, it's important to choose a variety of vegetable oils, as they have different nutritional components. Alternate between olive oil, sunflower oil and coconut oil for sweet dishes.

Drink plenty of water

As you probably already know, it's recommended to drink at least two liters of water a day, and a little more in hot weather. This keeps skin tissue hydrated from the inside out and prevents dehydration.

Use natural food supplements to slow the appearance of wrinkles

Between the ages of 25 and 32, choose skin-friendly supplements, such as borage oil-based supplements, for optimal hydration and natural antioxidants for more radiant skin. If fine lines and wrinkles appear, start taking supplements immediately to delay the signs of aging.

Wrinkles are permanent tears, especially in facial skin. They are caused by a lack of collagen and hyaluronic acid. That's why the most effective anti-wrinkle dietary supplements are hyaluronic acid and marine collagen.

Deep cleansing of the skin every day is essential in the fight against wrinkles.

Make-up removal and cleansing are essential to remove all traces of toxins, residues, bacteria and pollution that can clog the skin and reduce the effectiveness of skincare products. Double cleansing not only prolongs the skin's beauty, but also gives it a radiant glow and erases imperfections!

Use anti-aging products adapted to your skin type

Start by knowing your skin type.
Use a moisturizing cream adapted to your skin type and its needs. For example, if you have oily skin but your skin feels tight in winter, using a cream for dry skin is not the best solution.

Know your skin type by identifying areas prone to shine and distinguishing between dry and dehydrated skin.

- If your skin doesn't shine, it's dry to very dry and needs to be nourished and moisturized.

- If the T-zone of the face (forehead and chin) is shiny, it's a sign of combination skin.

- Skin that shines all over the face is oily.

Know the right gestures to fight wrinkles according to your age

Around the age of 25 is a good time to start using eye contour serums and creams for deeper hydration of skin tissue, as microcirculation slows down.

The skin around the eyes is very thin and is the first area to show signs of aging. So it's particularly important to choose the right skincare products and treat them well: at 25, you don't necessarily need to choose an anti-aging cream for the eye area, but a light-textured moisturizer like Energizing Eye Gel.

Anti-aging care for mature skin

Mature skin no longer has the same needs. You can protect your skin from aging by modifying your skincare routine.

If you're over 40, consider an anti-aging skin care regimen that fights wrinkles. Mature skin has different needs to younger skin, and requires more hydration. It's essential to take care of the area around the eyes, as this zone is particularly vulnerable and tends to age more rapidly than the rest of the face. This helps prevent crow's feet.

Protect your skin from aggression

On a daily basis, apply sunscreen and anti-free radical shields.

Protecting the skin against free radicals, pollution and UV rays is essential. In fact, these repeated daily aggressions are the main cause of skin aging, leading to deep-seated lesions. UVA and UVB rays penetrating the skin create lesions and damage collagen and elastin fibers, causing what is known as "photoaging".

Adopt the "anti-aging" facial gym

Facial sculpting gestures.
Anti-aging massage is performed in an upward movement from the center of the face outwards. Downward movements have the opposite effect.

Anti-aging facial massages should be performed gently, using the following gestures:

Apply a small amount of moisturizing cream.

Gently massage 3-5 times from both sides of the nose to the temples, then from the corners of the mouth to the ears.

Finally, massage again upwards from the chin to the temples.

Finally, take a small amount of organic eye contour cream and apply light pressure with your fingers from the inner corner of the eye, under the eye and towards the temple.

Opt for a relaxing activity

Chronic stress reduces the accumulation of antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamins that protect the skin from aging. Stress therefore accelerates skin aging, promoting the formation of wrinkles and the loss of radiance and elasticity.

If you're easily stressed or have a stressful lifestyle or job, find activities that help you relax. Yoga, relaxation therapy or a relaxing treatment in a beauty salon are recommended.
